No. 314.

Sir,

12

20051

1PFC

R15 JUL 03

Public Works Office,

Hongkong, 29th. April, 1903.

369

I have the honour to forward you an applica- tion which I have received from Messrs. Kwong Hep Loong for an extension of Kowloon Marine Lot 33, situated immediately to the

North of the Cosmopolitan Dock.

2.

Practically the entire area of the extension

applied for is situated in front of the existing Marine Lot and

cannot therefore be put up to Public Auction.

3.

There is a small strip of 15 feet in width

on the landward side of the lot, which could not be sold at the

time the lot was disposed of on account of some Squatters' hold-

ings being in the way, but, as these have since been removed to

other sites, it is desirable that the lot should be squared up

to align with the proposed road in the rear of it.

4.

In the laying-out of future main roads in

Kowloon, it is proposed to have one of 100 feet in width on the

North side of Kowloon Marine Lot 33 and a strip of 50 feet in

width is shown to be resumed from the lot for the purpose of

widening the existing road to that extent.

5.

Messrs. Kwong Hep Loong are prepared to

surrender this area and offer to pay 20 cents per Square

foot premium and $350 per acre Crown Rent for the difference in

area between the extensions to and deduction from the lot.

The Honourable

The Colonial Secretary.

6.

Kowloon Marine Lot 33 is held on a 75 years'

lease
